BLOG POST #3

WHAT'S ON THE PHONE?

Every day, businesses and firms always try to progress their progress to the next level to gain many consumers. Samsung and Apple innovate their products every year to increase the amount of sales and profit for their phones. So, according to Adam Smith companies have the only incentive of getting money, so in order to fulfill that incentive they need to innovate their products for the benefit of the consumer. I used to two websites for each of the company's’ latest smartphone product: for Samsung I used a blog post from a Samsung fan and a tech fanatic who referenced multiple sources, and I used a website call www.gsmarena.com where it has all the specifications of every phone on the market, which is certified and credible by multiple experts. Therefore, my research is to determine what the Samsung s7 and iPhone 6s has to offer in terms of: Memory, Display, Battery, RAM, and Resolution with minor features included.

According to the Samsung Galaxy s7, a blog post stated the certain specifications of the phone. First off, the display screen of the phone is 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1440 X 2560 which is good for those phone users who pay attention to detail. For the memory, the Galaxy s7 also provides a RAM 4 GB and an option of a 32 / 64 GB memory when you get the phone. If the memory is enough for you to fill in all those pictures, Samsung has given the option to receive and buy a  Micro SD up to 200 GB to have extra memory space for videos, projects, and pictures. And to those who have a struggle with battery, the Samsung battery is much longer because the S7’s 3000 mAh battery trounces the iPhone’s 1715 mAh pack.

For the iPhone 6s from Apple, the display size is 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels which are over competed with the Samsung’s Galaxy s7. For the memory, the iPhone 6s gives you a 16/64/128 GB memory and 2 GB RAM but you aren’t given a card slot for the microSD card. But, Apple has the feature of storing all your items to your Apple Cloud so that you don't lose any of the info that was made. As mentioned in the above, the battery is only a non-removable Li-Ion 1715 mAh battery which means there’s less battery life on the phone for the daily users.

So to further my research, I would like to see how Samsung has kept up with the competition of Apple after their continuous and dangerous situation of exploding battery on the new Galaxy s7 Note.
